Press HERE to open a separate IRC window.

Then use the drop down menu to select a server near you.

(Channel setting does not matter)

Press CONNECT

Depending on your browser settings, permission may be requested to load the Java applet.
Select YES, if asked.

Enter the NICKNAME that you wish to be known by in the box provided.

Press CONNECT.

You will probably now be in the default channel #newbies.

In the box provided type /join #UFO

You are now chatting in #UFO.

Double clicking on a visitor's nick will open a private chat window with the person.
